1. Information Collection and Use

A. Information You Provide Directly

  • Photographs: The core function of our Service requires you to provide photographs of outfits. You may do this by either taking a new photo using your device’s camera or uploading an existing photo from your device’s library. This is the primary piece of User-Generated Content we process.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage and Diagnostics Data: When you access the Service, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device’s unique ID, your IP address, your mobile operating system, crash data, and other diagnostic data (“Usage Data”). This information is used solely for the purpose of improving the stability and performance of our app. This data is anonymized and is not linked to your personal identity.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

  • To Provide the Service: Your uploaded photos are used to generate the AI-powered “Roasts.” This is the primary function of the app.
  • To Improve the Service: We use anonymized Usage Data to monitor app performance, identify and fix bugs, and improve the overall user experience.
  • To Ensure Security: We use a secure proxy for all communications with our third-party AI service provider to protect the data in transit.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your privacy is our priority. We have designed the app with the following principles in mind:

  • Local Storage: All photos you upload and the roasts you receive are stored locally on your own device. They are not uploaded to our servers for storage. This gives you full control over your content.
  • Data Deletion: Because your data is stored locally, you can permanently delete it at any time by deleting the photos from within the app or by uninstalling the application from your device.
  • Security Measures: We take reasonable measures to protect your information. When your photo is sent for processing, it is transmitted over a secure (HTTPS) connection through a proxy to our AI service provider.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • For AI Processing: To generate a roast, the photo you upload is sent to our third-party AI service provider (OpenAI) for processing. This is done through a secure proxy. The data is used exclusively to generate the roast for your request and is not used to train their AI models or for any other purpose.
  • When You Choose to Share: The Service allows you to share your generated roasts on social media or with friends. When you use this feature, you are in control of what is shared and with whom.
  • To Comply with Laws: We may disclose your information if we are required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app and updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
